Weatherproof Sound Exciter Transducer

The HDN-8 Sound Exciter Transducer is a full range, adaptable, compact transducer that excite a surface or structure over a wide bandwidth, allowing the installation of entirely hidden audio systems in walls, ceilings, and floors. This is in contrast to tactile transducers that produce "shaking" effects to your listening experience. Because of its high power handling capacity and hermetically sealed construction, it may be installed indoors or outdoors, even in damp or humid conditions like outside decking or interior bath/shower installations. It can also provide usable sound levels with a limited number of transducers.

It has a single mounting stud with a coarse thread that fits readily into materials like wood, fiberglass, or plastic, and its 8-ohm impedance enables integration with standard audio amplifiers.  It has a hermetically sealed construction for installation in wet or humid situations, a rugged plastic housing with a flat black finish, coarse-threaded mounting studs allowing single-point fixing into virtually any material. It features a 40?15,000 Hz frequency response (typical). Its dimensions are 4 inches wide by 1.75 inches high. Its impedance is 8 ohms, and its maximum power handling is 100 watts.
